3D FILM PRODUCTION
3D FILM PRODUCTION
The 3D Company has extensive experience of stereoscopic film shoots – sometimes called “native” 3D – as well as a wide range of experience in every aspect of 3D film production. This means we can accomplish projects deemed to be impossible and to avoid many of the issues which beset the unwary. Typically, shooting in stereo adds 35% to the budget of a 2D feature film.
Any 3D film production shot in “native” 3D always has complications and shots that need fixing. The techniques used to fix native 3D footage are frequently the same techniques used 2D to 3D conversion.
The key to any good 3D film production is keeping the amount of complications and fixes to a minimum because it saves time and keeps costs low. Integral to our success is specially adapted equipment (available to Hire) which allows us to produce great results in the most physically demanding locations including caves, rivers, waterfalls, mountains and deserts.
Our 3D camera rig can be set-up in 20 minutes and is capable of very fine geometric and alignment adjustments which means that post-production is kept to a minimum; these factors allow us to save considerable amounts of time and money.
